Successful Nonprofit Leadership Isn’t a Straight Path

I’ve been hearing from several of you lately who are either needing clarity or encouragement around your nonprofit work, and today’s interview has just that. I’m pulling this episode out of the show archives because it’s just that good. I think you’ll find his story inspiring.

Meet Dr. Johnathan Kraus

Dr. Johnathan Kraus is no stranger to challenges. He began using drugs as a teenager which led him to drop out of school at 14, in jail at 15, and shot at 3 times by 16. At age 19, though, God radically saved him and by age 20 he was involved in children’s ministry at his Church. Fast forward a few years; Dr. Kraus is a Rutgers University grad who then went on to earn a Master of Divinity degree, a Doctor of Ministry, and a Ph.D in Counseling.

After a career as a grade school teacher and college professor, Dr. Kraus left the comforts of his life in the US and took a leap of faith to start a nonprofit, Love Never Fails International. Today the organization serves children from coast to coast in India to help them overcome poverty by meeting their needs physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

He shares all kinds of wisdom in this interview. Learn more about his work:
