What it is and how it works:
Fast Track to Grant Writer is an 8-week LIVE small group coaching and mentoring experience.
- We’ll power through 8 grant writing and career-building modules in 8 weeks.
- You’ll implement practical homework after each module. Each assignment is designed to take you a step (or three) closer to your grant writing career.
- If you already work with a nonprofit in some capacity, we’ll adapt the assignments to your situation so you can get extra mileage out of the homework.
- Each module will be 90 minutes. We'll have a lesson for 1 hour, and another 30 minutes for discussion and Q&A about the session and homework.
- You’ll post your homework in the private Facebook community each week.
- We’ll have two bonus office hours as checkpoints where you can ask me anything about the modules or grant writing in general.

Why choose the Fast Track?
The response to my online grant writing courses so far has been overwhelming. People are saying things like, “This made writing a grant less daunting and scary. The formula is going to come in handy, and it's easily something I can look back to and use.”
When I first started out in grant writing, I was blessed to have an amazing mentor. I learned SO much about grant writing. Then when we moved away, I branched out on my own. That’s when all the career-building questions and insecurities came up, like…
- How do I find clients?
- How much do I charge? Am I really worth this rate? Should I work for free?
- How do I market myself as a new grant writer?
Google wasn’t a thing yet, so I floundered around trying different strategies and methods. I made slow progress, but I also made a lot of mistakes.
What I really needed was guidance from someone who recognized that each grant writer is different and each opportunity is unique. I knew I couldn’t make the one-size-fits-all programs fit me.
The one question I keep hearing over and over from you all, though, is, “How do I start?” That’s why I created this VIP program.
In Fast Track to Grant Writer, my goal is to do exactly what it says – to help you exponentially speed up your path to successful grant writing and give you what I wish I’d had when starting out on my own. I’m not holding back. This is built with focused, rapid implementation in mind.
After 15+ years of working with nonprofits, winning over $6M in funding, and a Master’s in Education to top it off, I’ll give you both the strategy and hands-on support you need to fast forward your grant writing success.
We’ll work through the mindset and strategy of grant writing to help you fast track your career with confidence.

What students are saying...
Understanding the writing PRO tips section was so good. Grant writing is nuanced and it helps to get some insider tips to help craft our writing.

I appreciate the ways you are showing us we can help non-profits. There are many nuggets we can incorporate into consulting that I hadn't previously considered.

Frequently Asked Questions
In case you were wondering…
Program Questions
All sessions will be recorded and added to the members-only course module. We don’t want you missing out!
I’ll do my best to accommodate you. When you enroll, I’ll take a poll and see what day and time options work best for the majority of the students and determine the schedule after enrollment closes.
I’d like to keep it consistent; however, if it’s split evenly, we may alternate so everyone has a chance to attend live at least part of the time. (For example, one week we might meet Tuesday morning. Then the next week we may meet Thursday evening, and so on.)
Glad you asked!
VIP = This program is extremely limited to those who are serious about taking their grant writing career to the next level and want exclusive access to me as a mentor. I keep the groups small to allow enough time for focused, individualized feedback. By the time you finish the program, I want you to have clear action steps for how to move forward.
Each module will be about 1 hour with another 30 minutes for Q&A if needed. You’ll need to allow roughly 1-3 hours each week for the follow up work (I mean, if you cut out ONE Netflix movie a week, you can probably stay caught up just fine. 😉 )
Some of the lessons will involve homework that is personal to you. However, when we get into the grant writing assignments, you can adapt the work we’re doing to your specific nonprofit. That way you can walk away with completed assignments that will immediately benefit you and your work.
I’m committing to you just as much as you’re committing to yourself. Even if you don’t participate, you’re still getting all the resources and proprietary strategies that I’ve spent 20 years developing. I’m going all in to prepare for each session. If this program is right for you, your commitment to the financial investment should be at the same level.
Content Questions
Maintaining client confidentiality is a huge standard in our field! If your homework includes sensitive client information, you can send it to me privately for review. The Facebook group will be an awesome place to discuss concepts and strategies, but we definitely want to prioritize client confidentiality.
This will touch on some of the same concepts, but it includes WAY more topics and depth. The Basics for Beginners course bundle scrapes the surface of grant writing itself. The VIP Fast Track program takes those topics and does a deep dive, plus has the added modules of building your career, strategy, and advanced grant writing skills.
PLUS you’re getting hands-on feedback from me along with small group support from other awesome people like you. I’m a little jealous of what you’re getting here…where was this when I started grant writing!? 😉
Let’s face it, we all love to be rewarded for our accomplishments. If you put in the time and effort, you’ll learn a TON in this program. That’s something to be proud of! The certificate acknowledges that and is a reminder of how far you’ve come. This is NOT a college credit or anything like that. It IS a way to celebrate a big step in your grant writing journey and will only be awarded to those who complete all the modules.
Good for you! This program is designed to help you figure out which path best suits your personality, situation, and goals. You’ll be able to complete the homework based on the direction you choose.
Ready to get on the fast track?
I’m committing to your future because I see your potential.
I want you to do the same, because together we can change the world.
Let’s do this.
